  • 3 tbsp nature yogurt

  • Homemade Pita Bread:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • 2 tsp instant yeast

  • 1 cup warm water

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tbsp nature yogurt

  • Garlic sauce:
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Chicken Shawarma:
  • In a large bowl, mix together the yogurt, garlic, cumin, paprika, turmeric, salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
  • Add the sliced chicken to the bowl and toss to coat evenly in the marinade.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and marinate in the fridge for at least 1 hour (or up to 24 hours).
  • Preheat the oven to 425°F or Air fryer.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the marinated chicken on the sheet in a single layer.
  • Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and slightly charred on the edges.
